I managed to get back out today with the Tarsacci on a very busy iron infested site. With a lot of our decent sites now drilled I took the opportunity to get some good practice in ready for when the good sites become available again.
Needless to say I wasn't disappointed!
The Tarsacci behaved very well and on the advice of some of you seasoned Tarsacci users I decided to keep it fairly tame.

A total of 87 non ferrous targets recovered varying in size. The biggest being large lead and copper sheet, right down to a tiny Roman minim you can just see bottom right of the picture. The 3 ferrous nails you can see in the picture to the right all came out of holes with non ferrous targets which I thought was a pretty good example of the target separation abilities of the Tarsacci.
I managed to get my first hammered coin too, a rather worn but very welcome short cross silver dating to the 12th Century. I also found a nice gold Angel coin weight and a rather nice pin with a lions head decoration on it.
I can see what you are all saying about the Tarsacci being addictive. I'm certainly hooked!
